Creating a Healthy Ecosystem
Economic development is a multidimensional process involving changes in structures, institutions, and attitudes, as well as the acceleration of economic growth through the creating of avenues for new opportunity, the reduction of inequality, and the eradication of absolute poverty. From a policy perspective, economic development can be defined as efforts that seek to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for a community by creating or retaining jobs and supporting or growing incomes and the tax base. We work closely with government and nonprofit agencies to support economic development.
